Daschie fanstamp

Description

I've made fanstamps of all the pound dogs from Disney's Lady and the Tramp, because they all need more love <3

Poor Daschie. He was literally sitting in a hole for most of his only scene, and we barely got to see him at all. He must be a determined little fella, trying to dig a tunnel BIG ENOUGH FOR A GIANT RUSSIAN WOLFHOUND TO FIT THROUGH. He had to have been exaggerating when he said they were almost out, because there was no way he was anywhere near finished with that.

FUN FACTS
:bulletred: The German “dachshund” literally means "badger dog”, referring to their original purpose of hunting down and unearthing badgers (some were also used in badger-baiting in much the same way bulldogs were pitted against bulls). The very earliest references to the breed (from the 18th century) refers to them as the "Dachs Kriecher" ("badger crawler") or "Dachs Krieger" ("badger warrior"). The original German dachshunds were larger and longer-limbed than the modern full-size variety, weighing between 30 and 40 lb (14 and 18 kg), and originally came in straight-legged and crook-legged varieties (the modern dachshund is descended from the latter).
:bulletred: Recent discoveries by the American University in Cairo of mummified dachshund-like dogs from ancient Egyptian burial urns, along with artwork and engraving of short-legged dogs, have led to speculation that the breed may have originated in Egypt.
